Overview
The MD DNB General Medicine Consultant plays a vital role in the healthcare system of Bharuch Gujarat by providing comprehensive medical care to patients with a range of complex health issues. This position requires a deep understanding of internal medicine and the ability to integrate patient care with advanced diagnostic techniques. As a Consultant the incumbent will not only treat patients but also mentor junior doctors participate in clinical research and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance the overall quality of healthcare services. The Consultants responsibilities directly impact patient outcomes ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and accurately diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests to guide patient care decisions.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and interns.
- Engage in continuous medical education to stay updated with current practices.
- Participate in hospital committees and professional organizations to advance medical policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records according to legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for patient care and promote health education in the community.
- Handle emergencies and provide timely interventions to stabilize patients.
- Facilitate follow-up care and monitor patient progress effectively.
- Assist in the training of residents and interns in best practices of internal medicine.
- Conduct clinical research to contribute to the advancement of the field.
- Develop hospital protocols aimed at improving patient care outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations during patient care.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DNB degree in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in a clinical setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices.
- Strong clinical skills and competency in patient management.
- Experience in teaching or mentoring medical staff is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues.
- Research experience or publications in medical journals is an advantage.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic medical records.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Willingness to engage in community health initiatives.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet patient needs.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions under pressure.
