Job Description for Gastroenterologist Consultant

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues.
- Perform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies and EGDs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various gastrointestinal disorders.

- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health and diseases.
- Provide consultations to other medical staff regarding complex cases.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.

- Stay current on advancements in gastroenterology through ongoing education and research.

- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical staff.

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (DM) or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Gastroenterology.
- Current medical license to practice in Punjab.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-specialization.
- Expertise in advanced endoscopic techniques.
- Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and their management.
- Proven track record in patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
