Competitive Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $30$38 per hour ($62400$79040 annually based on a 40-hour workweek)*
On-Call Pay: $145 for scheduled on-call duties
3&3 Tech Flex Program: Choose one of these exciting options:
$3500 cash bonus
40 additional hours of floating holidays
$3500 toward technical training
Paid Time Off: 48 hours to start increasing to 168 hours with tenure

Your Role: Making an Impact
As a Commercial HVAC Technician youll provide top-notch service to the Hillsborough County School District ensuring efficient HVAC systems that support student learning environments. Your key responsibilities include:
Performing scheduled maintenance repairs and equipment changeouts for commercial HVAC refrigeration and chiller systems
Installing and servicing heating ventilation air conditioning systems and ice machines with precision
Diagnosing complex technical issues and recommending preventative maintenance
Responding promptly to emergency service requests with professionalism
Conducting facility condition assessments and contributing to strategic projects
Working independently with support from dispatchers coordinators and supervisors
Maintaining company-provided tools including a service van iPad iPhone and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
This field-based role is primarily in Tampa (95% local assignments) with occasional travel for training or projects.
What Were Looking For Qualifications
Experience: 36 years of proven expertise in commercial HVAC refrigeration and chiller systems
Certifications: EPA Certification required
Physical Requirements:
Climb ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs.
Lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces (e.g. crawlspaces attics)
Wear required PPE
Additional Requirements:
Valid drivers license and ability to pass drug background and drivers license screenings
Compliance with enhanced security clearance protocols for school district assignments
Flexibility for overtime and occasional travel for training or regional support
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in installing troubleshooting and servicing HVAC systems and ice machines
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and address urgent repairs
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with industry software (preferred but not required)
