Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of all electrical/electronic equipment and systems including process equipment utility equipment and control loop setup/calibration.
We offer two shift options for this role: a 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM or a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM which involves working every other weekend.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all facets of maintenance and repair but most specifically those related to control systems troubleshooting PLC programming documentation and software backups.
Establish control loop calibration routes and ensure that the equipment controls are maintained within the design and set point parameters necessary to function properly.
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment with special regard to major and minor electrical/electronic system failures throughout the facility.
Develop and/or update changes to technical schematics and documentation including formal technical training hands-on training and written procedures (i.e. work instructions SOPs and lesson guides).
Offer technical expertise and guidance to other team members including operations engineering and maintenance personnel.
Take initiative and provide leadership in situations requiring advanced electrical/electronic knowledge or when issues arise outside the typical scope of maintenance work.
Participate in special projects/functions including: formal and hands-on technical training for operations and maintenance personnel emergency and scheduled maintenance coverage and the development of special written procedures/programs.
