Purpose: Manages service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment. Accurately leverages Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Grows profitable labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Attracts retains and effectively engages department personnel.
Develops communicates enforces and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
Schedules and assigns jobs to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge
Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing; goal is to treat customers fairly yet efficiently recover our time & material
Executes Service Department marketing plan (promotions specials packages etc.) and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
Manages recruiting staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
Submits all service warranty and PIP claims with necessary information within the required timeframe to receive maximum credits
Creates an annual Service Department Goals in alignment with the organizations financial and operational objectives
Ensures all departmental tools equipment and vehicles are in good working order and inventory is accurate
Handle any after-hours situations that may arise; including being on call when needed
