What you will be doing:
- Collect vitals and clinical data prepare patients for exams and document in the EMR.
- Assist with diagnostic tests EKGs injections venipuncture and routine labs.
- Prepare exam rooms manage instruments and support minor procedures.
- Communicate with patients to schedule appointments and relay care instructions.
- Coordinate referrals authorizations and insurance documentation.
- Provide tele-triage support as needed using judgment and template tools.
- Support administrative tasks including records forms and scanning.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team-based patient care.
Experience you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience preferred.
- Certification or registration as a CMA CCMA or RMA.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong patient communication and multitasking skills.
- Basic insurance knowledge including referrals and prior authorizations.
- Experience with EMRs and ability to navigate clinical technology confidently.
- Ability to deliver age-appropriate care and support across patient populations.
