Job Title: Administrative Assistant-- Bennettsville SC

Job Summary:

An Administrative Assistant for Human Resources (HR) supports the Domtar Marlboro Mill HR Manager and the day-to-day administrative activities of the HR Department as well as functions as administrative relief for other departments within the Domtar Marlboro Mill. This position works with highly confidential / sensitive information and requires attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize compile and maintain personnel records and HR process / policy documentation (paper and electronic files)
  • Assist with recruitment process
  • Support hiring and onboarding efforts
  • Assist with training initiatives and recordkeeping
  • Maintain HR schedule and coordinate calendar activities
  • Collaborate with HR staff to answer employee questions and provide requested information
  • Complete reports and maintain spreadsheets
  • Function as administrative relief (back-up) for other mill-wide departments (i.e. fill-in for vacations training etc.)
  • Maintain confidential / sensitive information
  • Enter production information and produce reports
  • Month-end reporting for Accounting
  • Create department monthly reports
  • Provide support for technicians & managers
  • Collect Sort Correct and Verify scale tickets for the daily inventory report.
  • Maintain Log Inventory Management System (LIMS) Quercus and Parkview database for material consumption
  • Provide commercial drivers access to our wood yard by creating and enabling access to scale-in for proper accounting

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years administrative-related experience with degree; or minimum five (5) years administrative-related experience without a degree
  • Proficient planning and organization skills
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • High degree of computer literacy to include MS Office
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration with focus in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university Preferred
  • Proficient utilizing SAP Kronos and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
