POSITION SUMMARY:
The Refining Value Chain Optimization group at the Garyville Refinery is seeking candidates for an opening in the RVCO Economics and Planning Group. The RVCO E&P Team is responsible for optimizing refinery operations developing short- and long-range production forecasts feedstock scheduling product production and scheduling project analysis and intermediate inventory management. All members of the team are expected to be actively engaged in ensuring all products meet specifications. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to interact with and influence many areas of the company. The group works closely with Operations and Technical Services to understand unit constraints and communicate the economic drivers of each of the operating areas. The team also works directly with Global Feedstock and Clean Product Value Chains RVCO Findlay/SATX and Product Quality to evaluate opportunities on feedstocks products and inter-refinery transfers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will initially be trained to use the refinery linear program (PIMS) and APS. After mastering the linear program the individual is expected to serve as the short-term forecaster. Responsibilities of the position include:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
