Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations of patients.
- Design and implement personalized anesthesia plans.
- Administer various types of anesthesia including general regional and sedation.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures.
- Ensure effective pain management and comfort post-surgery.
- Lead and participate in departmental meetings and case reviews.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to discuss patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia processes and what to expect.
- Respond promptly to any anesthesia-related emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all procedures.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuous medical education and training sessions.
- Supervise junior staff and surgical residents in anesthesia techniques.
- Stay updated with advances in anesthesia technology and methodologies.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to improve patient outcomes.
- MD in Anesthesiology from a recognized institution.
- Diploma of National Board (DNB) in Anesthesiology.
- Training in working with diverse patient populations.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in anesthesiology.
- Proficient in various anesthesia techniques.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology related to anesthesia.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Current state medical license and board certification.
- Membership in professional anesthesiology associations is preferred.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
- Strong ethical standards and a patient-centered approach.
- Experience in teaching or mentorship of junior staff.
- Previous involvement in research in anesthesiology is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts.
