We are seeking a NCCER or NCCCO certified Crane Operator for a maintenance position in Plaquemine LA. This position operates an crane to move objects components and material. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications:
- NCCER or NCCCO certification required
- Small and large hydraulics - experience and certification
- Fixed cab and swing cab - experience and certification
- High school or equivalent
- Must have valid Drivers license
- Preferably Two (2) years of experience in specified skill
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site Personal Protective Equipment requirements (hearing protection safety glasses long sleeve shirt
gloves steel toe boots etc.) - Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
- Read and sign off on JSA.
- Operates overhead crane from a cab.
- Receives verbal communication from employees where location of crane is needed to move materials throughout accessible areas.
- Stays awake alert and is aware of surroundings.
- Uses hand levers to control functions of the crane.
- Performs daily inspection of crane.
- Reports any unsatisfactory findings to the Foreman.
- Reads and interprets load charts.
- Understands hand signals for communicating with employees in work area.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
