Where you ll be working
You will be working at a 100-bed rural referral hospital that recently underwent a $60 million redevelopment. This New South Wales hospital provides a comprehensive range of services including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services. The facility includes a busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, a mental health unit and a renal dialysis unit. The committed network of healthcare professionals at this teaching hospital prioritise clinical excellence, innovation and education.

This hospital has a level 4 Paediatric Unit with 8 inpatient beds for children and young people till 18 years of age. There is also a 2-bed Special Care Nursery supporting a level 4 Maternity Unit with approximately 450 deliveries annually. As Consultant Paediatrician, you will work on the provision of contemporary, comprehensive and patient-centred specialist services. You will be supported by a team of dedicated and supportive Specialists, Registrars, Junior Medical Staff, Nurses and Midwives. As well as a varied and interesting casemix, you will also have the opportunity to develop a subspecialty interest in clinical care or in academic pursuits in teaching or research.

Salary information
Consultant Paediatricians can expect a salary of $186,241 - $229,825, plus a range of benefits.

Requirements
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
