***Our headquarters is in Stamford CT but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (2-3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford CT New York NY Charlotte NC Los Angeles CA Chicago IL or Atlanta GA.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our skilled and dynamic global hospitality team. The Event Executive will get a broad view of Octagons offices while supporting a hotel client with a variety of events. In this unique role you will be working with a tight-knit service-oriented team who is committed to providing seamless hospitality experiences to our clients. You will have broad exposure to the hospitality industry with tremendous potential to learn and gain hands-on experience.

THE WORK YOULL DO

• Conduct pre-planning management and implementation for hospitality-focused events including vendor research merchandise management and event communications
• Coordinate projects with outside vendors and internal resources
• Learn and lead sophisticated guest registration systems
• Understand clients values and voice while handling consumer facing communication
• Develop agendas and take detailed notes for weekly meetings with both internal and external partners
• Coordinate status details on pre-event meeting agendas i.e. transportation F&B and other activities
• Design prepare and distribute event execution guides staff implementation guides and personalized itineraries for guests at various events
• Provide hands-on event staffing and oversight
• Assist with numerous projects simultaneously ranging from hotel room blocks to concierge email responses to budget management
• Generate recap documents of each event including key metrics and recommendations

• A passion for sports travel entertainment music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture will make you a good Octagon fit
• 1ish years experience in related events field; past hospitality experience preferred
• A master of the Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel PowerPoint Word
• Though not a requirement a second language is a plus
• Can work weekends/holidays as needed
• Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)

L1: This position pays $40000 is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
