Your New Role
Homefront is a program of Sacred Heart Missions Womens Services that provides crisis accommodation and is committed to delivering a gender specific response to the needs of women experiencing homelessness and other associated issues.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced femalepermanent part-time Support Worker to work at Homefront to be responsible for providing the information support and case management to women who access the program across a 3-week rotating roster including evening sleepover and weekend shifts.
Your Day-to-Day
As a Support Worker you will:
- Provide support to women residing in our crisis accommodation facility helping them attain or maintain a sense of safety stability and hope.
- Assist women with orientation to Homefront but also preparation for moving on towards securing safe and sustainable housing.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members through teamwork and handovers.

Were looking for a female Support Worker with:
- Availability to work weekend and solo sleepover shifts.
- A Certificate or Diploma level qualification/s in a related field.
- Experience in effectively responding and de-escalating challenging behaviors and crisis situations.
- Ability to work independently and confidently on solo shifts.
- Commitment to working within a feminist person-centered strengths based and culturally responsive practice framework.
- Team focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
