TITLE: High School Alternative Discipline Program MonitorSUMMARY: The High School Alternative Discipline Program Monitor partners with the Building Principal other administrators and teachers to oversee students assigned to in school suspension or afternoon DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitors students assigned to in school suspension and after school detention;Addresses any undesirable student behavior using positive intervention strategies; Communicates with Building Principal regularly to assure any unacceptable student behavior is addressed;Maintain attendance; andCheck student work and collect student assignments as QUALIFICATIONS:Education and ExperienceCurrent member of the Oxford Public Schools Oxford Education Skills and AbilitiesEffective inter-personal skills clear and effective oral and written communication skills strong community-service experience sensitivity to working with people from diverse backgrounds willingness to work at times when students and community members are available including evenings and DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods; position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs.
