The Mission
As the Solution Owner Carbon & Forestry Markets you will lead the development and scaling of OroraTechs wildfire monitoring solutions for carbon credit project developers and commercial forestry. Youll identify high potential opportunities build strategic partnerships and champion the carbon and commercial forestry vertical internally. Working cross-functionally with Product Engineering and Sales youll translate market needs into impactful solutions and go to market strategies that help landowners project developers and climate funds manage wildfire risk and boost carbon credit transparency.
What youll be doing
Solution Development for Forestry & Carbon Markets: Design high impact business cases which integrate OroraTechs wildfire monitoring and satellite intelligence into carbon project development and MRV workflows.
Market & User Insights Management:Stay ahead of forestry carbon market trends policy shifts and registry guidelines (e.g. Verra Gold Standard) to shape our offering.
User Research: Engage directly with project developers consultants and registries to gather requirements validate pain points and business hypotheses.
Lead Generation & Sales Collaboration: Generate high quality inbound leads through partnerships and market presence while leveraging network and aligning closely with sales.
Competition Analysis:Keep the internal stakeholders of OroraTech informed of technological and business offerings of competitors in the carbon and commercial forestry market.
Pricing & GTM Strategy: Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop viable pricing models and go to market strategies.
Growth & Partnership Development: Identify and build strategic partnerships and scalable frameworks to unlock new market opportunities.
Market Positioning Strategy: Define competitive advantages product-market fit and ideal customer profiles to support targeted growth.
- Advocacy & Enablement: Act as an internal champion for the carbon forestry vertical and enable the sales team through training pitch collateral and deal support.
Relevant Skills
- Understanding of Carbon Credit Project Development:Knowledge of forest carbon project cycles including baseline setting validation monitoring and credit issuance.
- Familiarity with Carbon Standards and Registries:Experience with major carbon standards (e.g. Verra Gold Standard) and their methodology and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of Forestry Management Practices:Insight into sustainable forestry biomass measurement and land-use classification relevant to carbon projects.
- Theoretical Understanding of GTM Strategy Development:Familiar with key GTM elements like segmentation positioning and customer journey mapping.
- Pricing Strategy and Value Based Selling:Ability to support pricing decisions based on value delivery competitor benchmarks and ROI framing.
