Our Campuses: Why Choose Ohio University About the Office of Medical Education About the Office of Clinical Education Position Summary: The Curriculum Coordinator oversees the coordination of curriculum materials and events for the preclinical and clinical education programs at Ohio Universitys Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine ( HCOM ) Cleveland campus. This role plays a key part in enhancing the student experience at the Cleveland campus and contributes to the colleges overall success by supporting the delivery of its multi-campus curriculum model. Position Responsibilities: Coordinate the development design production and distribution of instructional materials and academic schedules to ensure compliance with college policies within the multi-campus multi-program curriculum delivery model for the Heritage College. Prepare and distribute instructional materials and curriculum information to campus faculty facilitators guest lecturers and speakers. Plan and manage communication with students and staff to ensure consistency and thoroughness in curriculum standards and site events. Assist in the continuous quality improvement of the Year 1 through 4 curriculum by assessing researching planning and implementing curricular tools and processes as directed. Update and draft academic procedures. Provide support to the Curriculum Committee and other curriculum-focused faculty and staff committees. Assist with student absence tracking and referrals. Assist with campus event programming and academic session logistics and set-up including but not limited to coordinating Clinical Training and Assessment Center ( CTAC ) activities such as routine coursework Basic Life Support ( BLS ) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) training boot camps simulation sessions transition to residency programs and student events. Serve as the campus liaison for Curriculum Assessment and Evaluation supporting curriculum implementation to ensure student success. Facilitate exam proctoring and student exam reviews. Coordinate local campus activities related to student academic performance indicators (score/quiz sheets grades attendance forms). Advise and orient students on curriculum matters academic procedures and the introduction of Heritage College curricular resources. Collaborate with program directors overseeing supplementary curricular offerings to maintain university course and class data including updating course catalog information scheduling classes verifying class setup and assisting with data preparation for classroom scheduling. Schedule events for departments and student organizations assist with the implementation and testing of software updates and data entry support guest presenter activities organize and distribute class materials and serve as occasional backup for student curricular operational needs. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree 1 year of related professional experience *Equivalent combination of experience/education may be substituted
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with curriculum management software.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some after hours weekend and holiday work may be required. Flexplace and flextime arrangements may be available for this position.
