Role Overview
The Development Associate will play a key role in supporting the fundraising and development efforts of the organization. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for a detail-oriented and mission-driven individual to contribute to donor engagement event planning and database management. The ideal candidate is organized collaborative and passionate about strengthening Jewish life and community.
What Youll Do
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns including annual appeals and special initiatives.
- Maintain and update donor database (LGL) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare donor correspondence acknowledgments and reports.
- Support logistics and communications for fundraising events donor meetings and community engagement opportunities.
- Conduct donor research and help identify new prospects.
- Collaborate with student social media team and Treasurer to produce fundraising materials and social media content.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director as needed.
What Youll Bring to the Job
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management communications or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in fundraising development or nonprofit administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite; experience with donor databases a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture traditions and values preferred.
