As a Resettlement Case Manager you will assist newly arrived refugee and immigrant families who have had difficulties with their integration. You will establish a self-sufficiency plan with each individual/family and work toward stability with each objective over their service period of case management support; this may include coordinating housing medical appointments employment search county benefits school enrollment as well as other means of supporting the individual to achieve self-sufficiency.
- Bachelors degree in social work psychology human services political science and/or experience working in human services or social work field Six - twelve months of experience providing social services to refugees or immigrants preferred.
- Experience completing case notes and county applications for MFIP MNsure and SNAP (MS Office skills required (Word Excel Outlook and Teams).
- Ability to work directly with children and adults.
- Ability to complete in-person home visits.
- Ability to drive families including children who require the use of a car seat in personal and agency van.
- Valid drivers license acceptable driving record access to reliable transportation and willingness to drive throughout the seven-county metro area daily.
- Fluent in Somali Arabic Karen Swahili Pashto Dari or Oromo preferred.
