The Phaco Surgeon Consultant plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by providing specialized surgical services to patients with cataracts and other related ocular conditions. Based in Raichur Karnataka this role involves performing phacoemulsification surgeries ensuring optimal patient outcomes and contributing to the continuous improvement of surgical practices. The Phaco Surgeon Consultant collaborates closely with ophthalmologists nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical care while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations of patients.
- Perform phacoemulsification surgeries with precision.
- Manage and document patient medical records accurately.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding procedures and post-operative care.
- Monitor patients during their recovery phase.
- Collaborate with ophthalmology staff to optimize surgical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in the operating room.
- Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and technology.
- Educate patients and families about eye health and surgical procedures.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
- Provide consultations to referring physicians and healthcare providers.

- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and residents.

Required Qualifications:
- MS/DO/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Experience in patient management and post-operative care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to participate in training and educational activities.
