Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to promote physical and mental health well-beings of students at public schools in New Mexico. The COTA will implement therapy plans support skill development and collaborate with staff to integrate strategies into daily routines promoting student growth participation and success.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program certification through the National Board for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
licensure or application for licensure as a COTA.
New Mexico license (NM Regulations Board or National Board license or certificate)

Responsibilities in collaboration with the assigned OT:
Develop tailored treatment goals activities and utilize necessary equipment/materials for each students specific needs.
Offer direct therapy services and ongoing support in appropriate settings.
Maintain ongoing professional development training
Provide consultation training and technical assistance to educators and staff.
Provide Therapeutic services under their licensure to students in member districts.
Perform therapy evaluations as allowed under the appropriately licensed discipline
Participate in the development of and attend the Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
Deliver services in accordance with the frequency and intensity indicated on the IEP.
Complete speech and language assessments and write reports as needed
Attend all required meetings at member districts to ensure service delivery and documentation.
Provide supervision either in person or virtually as allowed under the appropriate licensure requirements.
Use assigned email address in order to meet the above requirements for confidentiality their responsibilities for communication reporting and delivery of services.
Any other duties as assigned.
