About the Role
The Waiting List Officer is accountable for the management of patients on the Planned Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective within the guidelines of the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy and across the entire continuum of care from placement on the waiting list to day of surgery.
In addition to this the Waiting List Officer will ensure patients confidentiality is preserved at all times. The Waiting List Officer is responsible for compliance with the Hospitals Information Technology Security Policy and all other applicable Hospital policies.
Classifications for this position will be HS1 - HS17 ($58442 - $64610 per annum pro rata) over award
Your Contribution
Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role
Experience with patient administration systems (PAS)
Working knowledge of Microsoft office including Outlook Word and Excel
Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain

About Planned Surgery
The Planned Surgery Management Team (PSMT) coordinates and case manages patients that are on the St Vincents Hospital planned surgery waiting list in accordance with the planned surgery waiting list policy and the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy. The PSMT is responsible for the case management all patients across the surgical specialties at SVHM.
