Job Title: Branch Manager – Retail Branch Banking

Job Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a retail bank branch including customer service sales operations compliance and team performance. This role plays a key part in driving business growth by acquiring new customers deepening existing relationships and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales:
- Drive branch performance to achieve sales targets across retail banking products (savings/current accounts. Insurance Gold Loan etc)
- Identify and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high-value clients and local businesses.
2. Customer Service & Relationship Management:
- Ensure superior customer service standards at the branch.
- Resolve complex customer issues and complaints promptly.
- Conduct regular customer feedback and satisfaction reviews.
3. Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations in compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure audit readiness and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain high standards of risk management and operational control.
4. Team Leadership:
- Lead motivate and develop a high-performing team of branch staff.
- Set performance goals and monitor progress through regular reviews.
- Organize training programs to enhance staff skills and product knowledge.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure strict adherence to AML KYC and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and mitigate operational risks through effective controls and reporting.
- Collaborate with compliance and internal audit teams for regular assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience in retail banking with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products operations and regulatory environment.
- Proven sales and customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets .
