We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in overseeing our kitchen operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a passionate organised and skilled chef looking to take the next step in their career within a quality-driven independent establishment.
Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen and take charge in their absence.
Prepare cook and present consistently high-quality dishes in line with our culinary standards.
Assist in the creation and development of new seasonal menus and special offerings.
Supervise and train junior chefs fostering a supportive and professional kitchen culture.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness hygiene and food safety at all times.
Manage inventory levels assist in ordering and stock rotation.
Contribute to the refinement of kitchen systems and procedures for efficiency and excellence.
Proven experience as a strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a high-standard kitchen.
Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience.
A solid understanding of Scottish and modern European cuisine.
Passion for local produce and sustainable sourcing.
A positive leader with strong communication and organisational skills.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen health regulations (Level 2/3 certification preferred).
Competitive salary up to 36000 per annum.
