Your Role
As a Vice President General Manager you will deliver the sales and profitability of a Neiman Marcus store. You will do this by leading towards the shared goal of all Associates: to maximize store profitability by providing an excellence in sales experience. You will communicate with and guide the team to achieve corporate goals. The GM reports to a Regional Vice President and will work on-site in their home store.
What Youll Do
- Responsible for people product and placement and sales promotion for entire store
- Tailor leadership style to set expectations and coach for growth for different levels of direct reports
- Ensure team members are aware of the store vision and goals.
- Champion NMG culture and leads by example to create an atmosphere where customer service is consistent with Neiman Marcus standards
- Partner with Store Leadership team and Regional team to fulfill store strategic efforts
- Deliver the achievement of maximum sales and growth following company vision and values in partnership with other functional leads for the entire store
- Oversee Store Leadership team execution anticipating and adjusting for risks and roadblocks to maintain excellence
- Analyze and develop understanding of internal and external customer behavior trends and preferences adjusting processes and standards.
- Manage store budget and see to it that guidelines are being followed to minimize operating expenses and maximize revenue
- Partner with Merchant and Planning Organization Leaders and Regional team to determine appropriate strategies and action plans for the store to produce positive results
What You Bring
- 14 years of relevant experience luxury retail fashion experience
- Prior retail senior management experience
- Experience holding full profit and loss accountability
- Demonstrated change leadership within team and organization
- Track record achieving results across multiple businesses
- History of building leading motivating and coaching teams
- Previous experience navigating complex business problems collaborating with leads across corporate functions presenting at the executive level working with corporate partners and leading large-scale projects
