Job Description

Special Education Financial AnalystWest Springfield Public SchoolsTo assist the Special Education department in managing financial and administrative operations including maintaining financial records preparing state and federal reports including but not limited to Circuit Breaker Medicaid and School Choice while also assisting in the development of the annual :- Maintain all financial records for the Special Education department.- Prepares and complete the annual Circuit Breaker report.- Prepares and complete Special Education School choice report.- Prepares and complete Special Education Medicaid reporting.- Coordinate tuition payment for out of district students.- Coordinate Special Education bussing.- Assist in the preparation of the annual Special Education budget.- Prepare and process requisitions/purchase orders for the Special Education department.- Prepare weekly timesheets for the Special Education department.- Assist other clerks within the Special Education Department.- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Special Education Director Chief of Finance & Operations and :- 3-5 years of experience in a related field preferred typing proficiency computer experience ability to carry out oral and written instructions. - Must be proficient in Excel and have experience with bookkeeping.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple financial tasks and prioritize based on department need to meet deadlines.- Demonstrated ability in working independently as well as with staff including other town departments and the general public. - Such alternative qualifications as the Special Education Director may find appropriate and : Per the Unit C contract Classification S9
