Greet patients and visitors warmly ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
Answer and direct phone calls efficiently providing exceptional customer service to all inquiries.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments ensuring optimal use of office resources.
Maintain a clean organized and professional office environment.
Assist with accounts receivable tasks including billing for private self-pay insurance and Medicare.
Process payments and resolve patient billing inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Support the use and maintenance of the EMA electronic health record (EHR) system ensuring accurate patient information and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient records and billing are current and accurate.
Handle insurance verifications pre-authorizations and claims submissions as needed.
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing scanning and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with accounts receivable medical billing (including private self-pay insurance and Medicare).
Proficiency with EMA electronic health record (EHR) system (or similar systems).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in medical administration is a plus.
