Reporting to the Port Macquarie Depot Manager this role would be a great fit for someone looking to further their administrative skills and experience within a close knit supportive team where opportunities for ongoing development and on the job learning is encouraged.

Your day to day responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Reception and front desk activities
  • Answer phones and enquiries
  • Collection and distribution of mail
  • Meet and greet visitors and carry out site inductions as required
  • Manage lost property and liaise with Customer Service team
  • Manage banking petty cash and reconciliation
  • Assist customers with enquiries and timetable information as required
  • Provide quotes and charter bookings
  • Ensure invoicing for charters and receiving payments
  • Monitor and action student misbehaviour issues
  • Monitor and record students not producing bus passes provide feedback to drivers and support office
  • Manage term and replacement passes
  • Process Stationary orders
  • Administration and ordering of Uniform Orders
  • Assist drivers with information regarding overtime and other enquiries
  • Carry out depot reconciliation petty cash driver floats and banking related tasks
  • Manage depot accommodation bookings

What Were Looking for in the Successful Candidate:

Candidates with recently obtained Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant equivalent are encouraged to apply for this role. Prior on the job experience is not essential however attitude is key and the following attributes are needed:

  • Ability to work under pressure multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • A positive attitude willingness to learn and professional approach
  • You are reliable consistent adaptable and take pride in your contribution
  • Developed keyboard and computer skills with a working knowledge of the MS Office suite and other popular computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain successful relationships
  • Creative thinker
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with complex matters
  • Must be an Australian Citizen Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia
  • Current Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State (MR class preferred or willing to upgrade)
