Job Title: Continuous Improvement Fabricator
Department: Continuous Improvement
Reports To: Manufacturing Engineer

Vacancy: 1stshift Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm
Job Summary:
The C.I. Fabricator is essential to the overall success to the kaizen program by taking ideas from paper to reality using various forms of construction materials.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Construct various structures/tables/racks using basic hand tools per Engineering direction/drawing.
Construct Bill of Material for assigned jobs that materials are needed.
Use power tools/hand tools of various size and weight to accomplish tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience with battery powered hand tools (drills/cutoff wheel/circular saw/grinder/tape measure/etc.)
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
N/A
Computer Skills:
Understand basic MS Office.
Mathematical Abilities:
Basic math skills with experience using tape measures for accurate construction of projects.
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions.
Proven knowledge of hand tool use.
Must demonstrate ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Communication Skills: (Writing Foreign Language Reasoning)
Ability to read write and speak English
Highly effective articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures
Bilingual EnglishSpanish preferred
Other Skills (Technical or Other special knowledge and abilities)
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks.
Takes initiative approaches others in a positive and constructive manner and works well independently to achieve results.
Use of a OxyAcetylene torch MIG welder grinder cutoff saw drill impact and other hand tools required.
Physical Requirements:
95% of work will be on the floor working on projects and competing them by the deadline given.
Overtime will possibly be needed so remaining flexible with hours available is necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds individually and team lift 75 pounds.
Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
Must be able to stay hydrated while working in a temperaturecontrolled environment that can become over 85 degrees in summer and 60 degrees in winter.
Steel toe boots are required.
