Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION The Earth Sciences Department/Natural Sciences Division is seeking adjunct instructors to teach a variety of courses ranging from geology to meteorology to climate science. Most courses are intended for general education nonmajor students with a small portion of Earth Science or Geology majors. The department has a variety of equipment and samples for geology and oceanography to use for demonstrations or handson experiences. Currently lecture courses are available with the possibility of lab and field courses in the future.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Commitment to examine reflect and modify instructional relational and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in geology geophysics earth sciences meteorology oceanography or paleontology OR Bachelors in geology AND Masters in geography physics or geochemistry OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
