Job Description

DirectHire

We are recruiting for a Director of Administration & Human Resources to join a wellestablished professional services organization in Sacramento. This directhire position offers a hybrid work schedule (three days onsite two days remote) and a comprehensive benefits package including 100% employerpaid medical coverage for the employee and substantial retirement contributions. The Director will oversee four department managers and be responsible for talent acquisition employee relations performance management and compensation. Salary: $150000 $180000 DOE.


The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a professional services environment along with strong expertise in human resources. A human resources certification is preferred but not required.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all HRrelated matters.
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the companys human resources and talent strategy.
  • Lead employee relations efforts overseeing conflict resolution performance management and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including talent acquisition through recruiting interviewing hiring and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and implement recommended best practices.
  • Supervise office administrative staff and oversee their daytoday activities.
  • Review and approve time sheets and manage employee time off requests.
  • Process employee status changes including leaves of absence and separations.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the HR department establishing goals and priorities aligned with the organizations mission and values.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years experience as a Human Resources Manager and/or Administrator in a professional services setting.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Human Resources certification preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local California and Federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
