JOB Applications Engineer
LOCATION Liverpool
TERM Permanent
SALARYdependent on experience
My client design and manufacture bespoke solutions across many industries. They are looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.
The Applications Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- An educational or handson background in Mechanical Engineering
- Degree qualified or further in Mechanical Engineering or similar subjects
- Experienced in or knowledge of conveyor systems and/pr materials handling would be ideal
- Technical Engineering knowledge to understand quotations and queries
- Previous experience supporting customers in a similar technical / sales role would be beneficial
- Excellent customerservice skills and a passion for sales
- Confident and driven for career progression
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Be selfmotivated and driven
- Be keen to develop as part of an organisation long term
The Applications Engineer role will involve:
- Providing technical support and supporting technical delivery of the companys products and services
- Communicating with customers responding to enquiries and liaising with external sales teams
- Providing aftersales support
- Representing the company at exhibitions and client meetings
- Account Management of existing clients
- Handling queries and providing quotations to progress further sales opportunities
- Upselling and developing relationships
- B2B Sales
- Working with the Projects Team to convert client requirements into details designs and technical instructions
- Processing purchase orders onto the MRP system
- Excellent opportunities for training and development with room to progress within the company
