Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team on a 3month contract. The Upholsterer will be responsible for working on a variety of projects from reupholstering seats to refurbishing office chairs. This is a fulltime position working Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm for a total of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Reupholstering a range of seating including chairs sofas and office furniture
• Cutting patterns and fabrics to fit specific pieces and furniture
• Repairing and refurbishing existing upholstery as needed
• Ensuring highquality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all upholstery projects
• Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and client requirements
• Adhering to safety protocols and best practices in upholstery techniques

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role
• Proficiency in cutting patterns and working with various fabrics
• Knowledge of different upholstery materials and their best uses
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting and maneuvering furniture

Daytoday

• Reviewing project requirements and materials needed
• Measuring cutting and fitting upholstery materials
• Communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow
• Performing upholstery work on a variety of furniture pieces
• Ensuring a clean and organized workspace
• Following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents
