Backend Software Engineer

This role is based inBarcelona with an onsite commitment of three days a week. Fluency inEnglishis required.

Accountabilities

As a Backend Software Engineer youll be an essential part of a crossfunctional team working on backend services that power our Product Suite to improve the experience for patients and healthcare professionals alike. Youll design and implement robust APIbased and Data Streaming solutions to support critical functionality.

Your daytoday responsibilities will include:

Building and maintaining backend functionality for our applications.
Designing and implementing scalable highperforming RESTful APIs and Data Streaming solutions.
Working with our DevOps teams in the enablement of seamless automated deployment redeployment and recovery of infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
Collaborating with other engineers product owners and stakeholders to refine features and ensure they deliver outcomes.
Troubleshooting diagnosing and resolving bugs and performance issues.
Participating in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups and sprint planning.

Essential Skills/Experience

Proficiency with Typescript Express or similar.
Experience working with DynamoDB or MongoDB or Document based storage experience.
Data Streaming experience using Kafka or similar.
AWS tooling.
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
Strong understanding of software development principles such as objectoriented programming and Agile methodologies.
3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Experience designing solutions for complex projects within large organizations.
Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Experience with unit tests and BDD testing framework like Cucumber.
