Job Description
At Optotune we design and manufacture cuttingedge optical components that are shaping the future of imaging and photonics. To support our continued growth and ensure the highest standards of financial integrity we are looking for a GL Accountant to join our team in Slovakia. In this role you will take overall responsibility for General Accounting across all Optotune entities ensuring compliance with Switzerland and Slovakia. This is a key position where you will drive accuracy efficiency and collaboration within a dynamic international finance environment.
Tasks
- Overall Lead of GL Accounting within Shared Service Center Accounting for all entities
- GL Accounting all entities based on CH/SK GAAP
- Asset Accounting all entities based on CH/SK GAAP
- Payroll Accounting all entities
- IC Accounting all entities
- Accounts Reconciliation keep GL Accounting clean and accurate
- Financial Statements
- Direct and Indirect Tax Declaration SK
- Statistical Reporting
- SAP FI power/key user
- Support monthly/yearly closing
- Deputy Head F&C SK (Accounting Taxes)
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a basic education in Accounting or Finance
- Experience: Over 10 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting preferably within an international company. Experience with publicly listed companies is a strong advantage
- At least 5 years of handson experience with SAP FI and SAP S/4HANA; prior Key User experience is a plus
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Languages: Fluency in both Slovak and English is essential
- Personal Attributes: High level of accuracy and reliability; selfmotivated and ambitious with a curious mindset. Strong team player with a proactive attitude
