Job Description
As a Dishwasher at Fairmont Hotels you play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our culinary department. You are responsible for maintaining a safe sanitary environment by washing dishes utensils kitchen equipment and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and backofhouse areas.
Position Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: $19.85/hour
Start Date: June 2025
Job Duties Include:
- Operate dishwashing machines to clean plates glassware and utensils.
- Wash pots pans and trays by hand where required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen including floors walls and work surfaces
- Sort and stack clean dishes and return them to proper areas.
- Remove trash and recycling from kitchen areas and dispose of it properly
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and storage areas are clean and orderly
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Assist cooks/chefs staff as needed with basic food prep or transport of supplies.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including pushing pulling bending heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
