The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine planned and breakdown maintenance activities on shift maintaining the plant equipment at optimum efficiency. Successful candidates must demonstrate both the ability to work in selfdirected teams with little to no supervision as well as demonstrate the ability to drive results in a team environment. Successful candidates will be required to use their troubleshooting skills and experience to resolve technical and mechanical problems that may occur. The successful candidate would also be responsible for development and training of Maintenance Apprentices and work with operations to improve machine efficiencies.

Reports to: Maintenance Leader
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the process process equipment controls and spare parts.
- Develop troubleshooting skills and techniques for the equipment and controls.
- Perform routine and nonroutine industrial maintenance tasks.
- Utilize our computer maintenance management system (SAP) to maintain and enter documentation from all work orders.
- Learn and comply with all Owens Corning safety policies along with all other plant rules.
- Maintain a clean orderly work area that follows 5S standards.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Work up to 12 hours in hot/cold manufacturing environment.
- Walk/stand on concrete floor continuously for up to 12 hours.
- Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) steeltoed shoes eye protection (glasses goggles and/or facemask) hearing protection and longsleeved shirt (with shirt tail tucked in) as necessary for task.
- Maintain high level of attendance.
- All other duties as assigned or needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in 5 year s experience in an industrial maintenance position
- Schooling and certifications in maintenance /electronics related field
- Willingnesstolearnmore attitude through developed work habits machine instruction booklets selftaught skills courses and outside educational programs
- Industrial mechanical experience and knowledge (bearings gearboxes conveyors chain drives etc.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Above average troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in an industrial environment
- Understanding experience and troubleshooting capabilities with industrial electrical
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude in an industrial environment
- Ability to travel as needed. Travel will be heavier during start up as visit other OC plants to learn the business.
