Job Description:Elevated is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage efficient and scalable IT infrastructure solutions including onpremises servers networks storage and cloudbased systems.
- Ensure high availability performance and reliability of infrastructure systems; monitor system health and resource utilization optimizing as needed for cost and efficiency.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades migrations and patch management; apply hardening measures to servers networks and cloud environments.
- Apply security best practices across all infrastructure components; monitor for vulnerabilities breaches and suspicious activity; implement and maintain firewalls IDS/IPS endpoint protection and IAM solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues (network server cloud security); respond to and investigate security incidents coordinating with relevant teams.
- Work closely with Business units to provide technical support training and guidance to users and junior team members.
- Develop implement and test backup disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for both onpremises and cloud systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams procedures and incident reports; ensure compliance with relevant regulations (SOX NIST etc.) and internal policies.
- Participate in capacity planning performance tuning and cost optimization for infrastructure resources.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to enhance infrastructure efficiency security and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 35 years of proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of enterpriselevel infrastructure system administration and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA CCNA CompTIA Security) are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Valid drivers license is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
