Job Summary:

PPL is growing itsCareer Pathways enrollment and outreach servicesand is seeking a dynamic peopleorientedOutreach & Enrollment Specialistto join our team. This role is often the first point of contact for participants and plays a key role in recruiting screening and enrolling individuals into our job training programs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the welcoming face of PPLs Career Center supporting walkins and scheduled appointments.
  • Conduct eligibility screenings and intake assessments for CareerWorks and SNAP E&T programs.
  • Interview and enroll participants into job training programs in collaboration with training staff.
  • Proctor skills assessments (e.g. TABE Northstar Digital Literacy).
  • Deliver excellent customer service in person online and over the phone.
  • Lead outreach and recruitment efforts through community events job fairs social media and info sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry and documentation.
  • Represent PPL at community events occasionally during evenings and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse and lowincome communities.
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups and facilitating workshops.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and programs.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation or valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Zoom and Teams.
  • Ability to navigate online databases and internet tools.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and electronic timekeeping systems.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS in a related field preferred (experience may substitute for education).
  • Experience in community outreach public speaking or participant engagement.

Physical Demands

Salary:$20 to $25. Hr. DOQ

PPLs work structure has evolved into a Hybrid Modelwhere available striking a balance between onsite presence at the office or satellite locations and remote work from homebased on the programs needs. Working with your supervisor to find the right balance for your team will evolve over time.
