Were a business that believes in building confidence in our decorators. Seeing their bright ideas and making them happen. We do this by giving our doer uppers access to inspiration advice and howto guidance from our experts and wider community. As well as making our range of (waterbased trace VOC) paint (FSCcertified) wallpaper and ecosupplies with real people and real homes in mind.
Its why we curate a selection of pigmentrich paints with unique depth of colour and their own individual identity and highquality designer wallpapers. Its why we have an expert team of colour consultants onhand to help with any decorating question big or small. Its why were building a supportive community of decorators to inspire each other with their projects.
Because we know that a small change in colour can have a huge impact on the way we feel.
Gone are the days of too much choice feeling like youre doing it alone and messy expensive sample pots. This is a fresh look for decorating.

About the Company
Lick was founded in 2019 by Lucas London and Sam Bradley both experienced startup entrepreneurs targeting the $1trillion global home decor market.
Since launching in 2020 we have evolved tremendously and since then Lick has expanded into 3 separate brands:
- Lick: for the DIY customer
- LickPro: for the Trade customer
- Lick Tools: our own range of sustainable tools
We have continually developed our product range developed new sustainability initiatives and grown our community of decorators. Successful campaigns such as the Heinz x Lick collaboration & Soho Home range as well as our huge partnerships with Screwfix & are leading us in the right direction and its really a very exciting time to be joining us on this journey!
Our Office
We are a hybrid working team and we believe in the value of getting together offline and online. For this reason we are focused on hiring candidates who can easily work in London. We see huge value in our team sharing an office together and strongly encourage everyone to use it as often as they can. Monday Tuesday and Thursday are mandatory days.
We provide tea coffee milk (dairy & plantbased) fruit a communal outdoor terrace area meeting rooms bike storage showers and communal breakout spaces throughout the building.

Were on our way Our peel and stick samples use 95% less waste than sample pots our trace VOC waterbased paints contain fewer harmful chemicals and a more easily biodegradable end product and our packaging is 100% biodegradable.
In 2022 we announced that we are B Corp certified a real milestone moment.

About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director this role will be based in our London office.
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Finance Analyst to join our retail business. The Finance Analyst will play a critical role in financial planning budgeting and analysis to support strategic decisionmaking. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling skills experience in the retail sector and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
As a Finance Analyst you will play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency and supporting business growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the Finance Director around budgeting forecasting and financial planning.
- Managing the financial model to maintain alignment with business purpose and rolling performance.
- Oversee the companys BI tools ensuring data integrity and continually improving the platform to provide realtime visibility into performance against key and evolving KPIs.
- Be an integral part of the monthend team led by the Finance Manager assisting in the timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of reconciliations provisions and accruals to facilitate a smooth monthend close.
- Review and validate the segmentation and categorisation of transactions in the ERP to deliver accurate costcentre analysis.
- Partnering with the Finance Manager to streamline BAU and monthend processes driving efficiency while maintaining and integrity.
- Identification of key cashflow drivers and trends including a monthly analysis of direct cashflow vs budget and investigating any deviations against expectation.
- Work closely with the tech team to safeguard data integrity within the companys tech architecture ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy across all platforms.
- Supporting the Commercial team to understand weekly and monthly trends in performance particularly around Channel/Customer/Product Mix. Key to this will be ensuring that our BI software contains uptodate data and with charts that can be readily understood.
- Regularly meet with key budget owners across the business to ensure they have full visibility of their spend against budget.
- Partner with the marketing team to assess the financial impact of promotions and strategic initiatives ensuring datadriven decisionmaking.
- Monitor manufacturing efficiencies and provide analysis of impact on profit margins.
- Ensure data compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Requirements
Experience:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in financial analysis preferably in the ecommerce & retail sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Lightdash or Looker (preferred) Power BI Tableau).
- SQL skills will be very advantageous.
- Experience working with cloud based data systems such as Snowflake RudderStack DBT would also be favourably considered.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and financial reporting software.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
