Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Technical Writer who is responsible for contributing and editing externalfacing technical documentation. If you love technology and are keen to join an industry leader we would love to hear from you!
What youll do:
As a Technical Writer you will produce and maintain highquality technical product and support documents as well as nontechnical communications promoting new product and feature releases. To be successful in this role you will have excellent proofreading and editing abilities as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
How youll make an impact
- Work with internal teams to obtain an indepth understanding of Geotab products and the documentation requirements.
- Gather usability feedback from internal and external stakeholders and identify gaps in documentation and processes.
- Lead documentation publication process with key company stakeholders.
- Ensure that all product and support documents are compliant with Geotab glossary and formatting standards.
- Standardize content across documents and media.
- Ensure all product and support documents in English are clear easy to understand and grammatically correct.
- Produce highquality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Review and edit documents prior to release and before they are sent for translation.
What youll bring to the role
- Excellent written skills in English.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text.
- Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the hightechnology industry an asset.
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong teamplayer with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence using software programs including but not limited to Google Suite for business (Sheets Docs Slides).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
- PostSecondary Degree/Diploma specialization in Engineering Computer Science English Professional Writing or a related field.
