Were looking for a dynamic and innovative person to serve as an Athletic Director joining our collaborative team of four Athletic Directors. Reporting to the Head of Athletics you will play a vital role in the continued success and administration of our comprehensive athletic program. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about high school athletics and dedicated to supporting athletes and coaches in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Athletics and fellow Athletic Directors on the strategic vision and daily operations of the athletic department.
- Provide direct oversight and support for assigned sports programs including but not limited to scheduling budgeting facility coordination and communication.
- Supervise and evaluate coaches fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to school policies and ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with all league section and state regulations (e.g. CIF).
- Manage gameday operations and logistics to ensure smooth and safe events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with studentathletes parents coaches faculty and the broader school community.
- Address and resolve issues and concerns related to athletes parents and coaches in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute creatively to the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs that enhance the athlete experience.
- Perform daily administrative tasks with accuracy efficiency and professionalism.
What were looking for in candidates:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in athletic administration at the high school or college level is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and mentor coaches and athletes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to think creatively and problemsolve effectively.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of ethical conduct and sportsmanship.
- Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.
HarvardWestlake School
We are an independent school consisting of two campuses located in Los Angeles California. We have approximately 1600 curious thoughtful and inspiring students enrolled in grades seven through twelve. The Upper School campus enrolls approximately 875 students in grades ten through twelve more than half of whom are students of color.

Compensation: Anticipated base compensation is $125000 $150000 depending on experience. This is a fulltime position that will begin as soon as possible.
