Design Engineer
Introduction:
The Manufacturing and Design Engineer is responsible
for manufacturing technology design and development and Global support to the
CNS Rubber & Polymet factories. The role will develop safe, common,
competitive and advanced manufacturing processes.
The role is project-based and will design molds and
tools and implement improvements to the manufacturing processes including
machinery and equipment, tooling and manual processes. Furthermore, runs
manufacturing engineering process and its queue handling of creating and
maintaining manufacturing engineering Globally.
The person is the global knowledge expert of
manufacturing technologies and thus responsible for engineering capability
development in this area, utilizing latest technological knowledge and
capability.
The person is part of global ME network and
participates in the technology roadmap creation and realization in global
projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Design and develop and optimize advanced Global manufacturing processes
for Rubber & Polymet factories
Design, engineer and realize molds and tools for global products from
all applicable business lines
Design and calculate lifting tools and other material handling methods
Design concepts and tools for safety and error-proofing to prevent
hazards and improve process robustness
Standardization of manufacturing processes
Develop and update standard processes by types of products
Develop PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for selected
products, and implement actions across Global processes
To succeed:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum five years of experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering,
product/tool design work or equivalent
Minimum three years experience in manufacturing
Solid manufacturing processes theory knowledge
Solid knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, concepts and tools
OEE knowledge and experience
Excellent skills of using engineering tools: 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor
preferred), PDM/PLM (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
Advanced quality tools knowledge. Six Sigma / statistical methods is a
plus.
Design for Manufacturability (DFMA, DFA, DFS, DFT, DFL)
Risk mitigation tools knowledge (FMEA, Control Plans, Tooling Plans,
etc.)
Analytical, capability to identify essentials
Good in building internal/external network
Excellent and modern team working skills: collaborating, sharing,
reflecting, giving feedback
Experience in implementing projects and getting permanent change
Self- motivated, willing to learn, and target oriented
