Our client a leading player in the compressor industry is seeking a driven resultsoriented Sales Representative to join their dynamic sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to shape sales strategies grow revenue and build strong lasting relationships across direct and distributor customer channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Market Prospecting- Proactively identify and qualify sales leads through cold calling networking referrals and inbound inquiries.
- Research key markets and customer segments to uncover business opportunities.
2. Sales Engagement & Negotiation- Present products or services to potential customers highlighting benefits and value propositions.
- Negotiate pricing terms and close sales agreements in line with company policies.
3. Customer & Distributor Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business and upsell additional products of services. This pertains to direct and customers and distributor channel.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Exceed and meet sales targets and KPIs as set by management.
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and pipelines.
5. Product Expertise & Industry Knowledge- Maintain a thorough understanding of the companys products or services and stay informed about industry trends.
- Provide technical expertise to customers and address their questions.
6. Crossfunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing aftermarket service and technical teams to align on sales strategy.
- Participate in internal meetings and training initiatives to stay aligned with business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:- Matric.
- Proven track record in B2B sales.
- Strong understanding of the South African industrial compressor markets and / or technical markets.
Preferred:- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
Core Competencies:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Time management and organisational discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Desirable:- Technical knowledge of compressor systems or related industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Multilingual abilities or additional technical certifications.
