Job Description
BOILER OPERATOR MAINTENANCE Richards Bay
To operate service and maintain industrial steam boiler systems while ensuring continuous generation of the right quality and quantity of steam for utilisation in oil processing plants and tank farm in a safe cost effective environmentally friendly way and in line with operating procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Boiler System Operation Steam Generation Process Operation and Control
- Boiler System Monitoring Servicing and Maintenance
- Environmental Safety
- Resources Availability
- Recordkeeping Filing and Reporting
- Compliance to all Safety Health Environment Risk Quality & Food Safety (SHERQFS) Standards and
- Regulation
- Supervision Direct and coordinate work schedules and duties of team members
- Stakeholder Engagement.
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES:
Qualifications:
- Senior Certificate or NQF level 4 equivalent qualification.
- Valid Boiler Operators certificate from an accredited training institution.
Experience:
- 3 years experience operating industrial boiler systems 1 of which in a coordinating/supervisory role
- At least oneyear operation of a gas/HFO/Diesel fired boiler will be an added advantage
- Production line or FMCG maintenance experience
- Working experience on computer systems will be an added advantage
Knowledge:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the boilers and its operation.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the pressure equipment regulations
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions for boilers.
- Knowledge and great understanding of safety working procedures and standards of the boilers.
- Understanding of production process flow and equipment
