Position: IT Jr. Systems Engineer (Network & Infrastructure)
Location: San Antonio TX
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM 5 PM (with flexibility for afterhours/project work)
What Youll Do
As a key member of our IT team youll play a central role in managing and improving digital communication systems supporting network infrastructure and leading technical initiatives that help our clients and internal teams succeed.
Core Responsibilities:
Design implement and maintain IT infrastructure (LAN WAN wireless).
Lead integration of technology solutions for both commercial and publicsector clients.
- Plan scope and execute technical projects with clear documentation and deadlines.
Protect networks from cyber threats and implement proactive security measures.
Support staff with daytoday technical issues and provide expert guidance.
Evaluate system performance and recommend network improvements.
Coordinate with external vendors and partners for optimized service delivery.
Serve as an escalation point for the Support Desk and mentor junior tech staff.
Architect and deploy network solutions aligned with project goals.
Maintain and update technical certifications relevant to networking and security.
What Were Looking For
Required:
- 25 years of handson experience with network systems (TCP/IP DNS DHCP ISP).
Experience with VOIP and managing both physical and virtual server environments.
Preferred:
- CCNA or CCNP Candidates Strongly Preferred
- Managed IT Experience
Physical & Travel Requirements:
Able to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasional travel for company events or client needs.
Regular use of computers phones and other office equipment.
Working Environment:
