Job Description:
We are seeking a high energy handson Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to deliver a comprehensive maintenance systems program lead manufacturing engineering projects and set priorities across the site for new processes equipment and materials.
Summary:
Provides organizational and technical leadership to the site Manufacturing Engineering Organization. Plans organizes and directs the development of processes tools and new and existing products. Establishes implements and supports manufacturing processes and equipment from concept development through implementation to ensure the success and longevity of production process. Directs and oversees the site machine and equipment maintenance department.
Manage develop and mentor Manufacturing Engineers.
Lead and cultivate a continuous improvement culture within the engineering and maintenance teams.
Plans organizes and directs technical work concerning new or existing products and/or processes.
Oversees and directs new products implementation.
Supports customer timing and quality in launching new products as it relates to equipment tools and process.
Oversees and maintains all processes presently in production.
Supports various corporate initiatives such as Level LEED ISO and Smart certifications.
Researches recommends or implements strategic changes on present products processes or equipment to improve process capability and performance and overall cost improvement.
Participates in process product and equipment cost analysis.
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of Toyota Production a plus
Experience in a lean environment
Demonstrated knowledge of change dynamics
System Thinking
Team player working with leadership in all areas
Ability to prioritize goals
Demonstrated leadership in previous positions
Demonstrated ability to deliver key metrics & manage capital budgets
Comfortable working in a shop floor environment
Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001 a plus
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Must be flexible to travel as needed
Required Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
Industry Experience: 1015 years in the field of Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering with Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.
Technical Experience: Experience in continuous improvement activities will be required. This includes using tools such as kaizen events mistake proofing establishing standard work practices problem solving pull systems 5S setup reduction TPM etc.
