Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist

Role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist position is responsible for all firstlevel review of new accounts and account changes which involves reviewing documentation to ensure all accounts are aligned with the credit unions policy and procedures. Additional responsibilities include properly maintaining the findings within the QA workflow application for assigned accounts and serving as the back up to the Lending Quality Assurance Processor.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the review of transactional data (to include new account applications adding additional shares adding/removing joint owners additional service requests file maintenance etc.) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Radiant Credit Union policies/procedures.
  • Manages the deceased account processing to include flagging accounts making initial contact with beneficiaries and follows up with branch personnel to ensure accounts are concluded in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and works core system reports for specific account activity power of attorney transactions and other core system related activity.
  • Acts as the backup to the Lending Quality Assurance Processor. Reviews consumer loan documentation for compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
  1. Quality control is to be performed on all new accounts and file maintenance processed within two weeks.
  2. Followup with staff requests by the end of day
  3. Review core system reports and document/followup with appropriate staff.
  4. Serve as Risk and Compliance support personnel for the front line for account opening and servicing.
  5. Assist with process improvement

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of firstlevel conflict resolution building relationships and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills Ability to troubleshoot comprehend and follow complex technical procedures. Attention to detail. Basic Excel experience required.
