Job Description

About the Company:

Our client is a leading player in the dutyfree industry offering premium products across multiple categories such as luxury goods beauty fashion spirits and more. With a strong presence globally they are now expanding into the Malaysian market and seeking a Account Executive to manage the companys accounting operations.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records processing transactions supporting monthend closing activities and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role requires attention to detail proficiency in accounting software and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daytoday financial transactions and ensure accuracy in general ledger entries.
  • Process invoices receipts payments and reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
  • Prepare financial reports including expense tracking balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Support monthly quarterly and annual closing processes.
  • Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors or clients regarding financial transactions.
  • Assist in audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Monitor bank deposits and payments and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Help prepare tax documents and support tax filing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • Must have full set accounting experience.
  • 2 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
