Job Description
Shawnee Health Certified Medical Assistant

Shawnee Health is seeking aCertified Medical Assistant for our Shawnee Health Marion Meidcal office. This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepares the exam rooms for the patient by setting up any needed equipment and maintains a clean organized efficient and confidential work area.
- Obtains vital signs height and weight allergies completes medication reconciliation review of systems updates immunizations and documents relevant information by following appropriate EHR work flow for the visit type and alerts provider to any concerns.
- Performs and assists provider with any procedures or treatments.
- Performs any lab tests screening procedures administers medications or immunizations per the provider orders or per standing orders and documents in the patient medical record.
- Manages electronic inbox and completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with patient by telephone to relay advice or instructions from the provider
- Required to work a flexible schedule including some evenings weekends and early morning hours.
- Reliable transportation on the job is mandatory
Requirements
- Must have a valid Illinois drivers license and auto liability insurance on personal vehicles.
- BLS/CPR Certification must be maintained. Knowledge of basic first aid is required.
- Must have a valid certification to practice as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Starting salary $20.00$21.22
