We are currently building out a next generation data platform to provide seamless access to the BBCs large archive of programme information metadata subtitles transcripts production data and restrictions. Up until now this metadata has been stored in a large number of separate siloed systems tightly coupled to their respective business use cases.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of one of the world great media archives at a time when we are aiming to transform our platform and operations.
Together with Lead Data Manager you will:
Design Archives core data model to support search and discovery metadata management and data driven decision making
Design efficient data processes and work with architects engineers and analysts to implement them
Implement best practices in data governance and management across the Archives
Set the foundations for further development of Archive data ecosystem and implementation of new data technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Define strategy for monitoring and improving data quality
The right candidate will have skills in data modelling data process design and analytics. The role will help shape key elements of our data platform and the transformation in how we collect manage and use our data. Youll be working with the Lead Data Manager as well as analysts architects engineers and product managers as part of a varied team.
